1985.

Video was fast replacing film as the most preferred medium for non-theatrical films, particularly for corporate and industrial films. A group of professionals from the audio visual media and communication came together to form a new unit to meet the communication needs of the Indian scorporate sector and Government organisations. 

The unit is HILIGHTERS

The unit is headed by K.RAMANATHAN, who also heads its creative department. The rest of the team is made up of highly qualified, experienced, motivated and talented young multi media communication professionals and web designers. All are qualified, experienced and well versed with the latest hardwares and softwares and have experience both in media and management. This makes the unit unique and well suited to design and produce corporate and industrial films and documentaries and entertainment series.

Ramanathan has more than thirty years of experience in Film and TV Production, including a ten year stint as a faculty member of India’s premiere film and TV School – Film and TV Institute of India, Pune, recognized by UNESCO as Regional Center for Study of Film and TV production in South East Asia. Many of the members of the team are also graduates of either Film & TV Institute of India, Poona or Tamilnadu Film & TV Institute, Chennai.

Most of the films are scripted, directed and photographed by Ramanathan. Film and TV production is unique as primarily it is a teamwork. Every team member’s contribution does affect the film one-way or the other. Details of other team members are given below. But the success or failure of the film depends on the ability of the captain of the team, the Director of the film to make the right use of the individual’s contribution and talent. Rajarajan, who photographed Apollo Hospitals, Hindustan Teleprinters Chemoleums and malladi Drugs.

Editors              Gnanam has edited all the films we did for Danida
Gautham edited the films on Tuticorin Port Trust, TIDCO, TANFAC, Wheels India and BHEL, among others.

Graphic Artists  Kamalakannan of Indian Artists did the graphics for the animation film for SPIC
Vendhan of Vendhan Visual Effects did the graphics many other films of ours.
Arul of Edit Point did the graphics for the film on Indo swiss Exports.

We undertake projects from concept to cassette stage. We first discuss the structure of the film with the client, visit the places, where filming is to be done and submit a script for approval. On approval of the script and after incorporating any changes or modifications, as suggested by the client we submit the final script and a schedule for the execution of the project.

HILIGHTERS has a formidable list of clients, who have been extremely satisfied and on almost all occasions have always given us their subsequent projects. Our client list spans form corporate conglomerates like the
